The 200 North overpass project is now finished and looks great. What a big project that was! It is good to have that done and have traffic be able to move up and over the railroad tracks. We are grateful for the federal funding that made this project possible. In case you have not seen the plaque at the top of the bridge (on the north side), here is a close up look at it.

The expeditious flow of traffic over the tracks was an excellent idea; however, purpose of this bridge seems to have been defeated by placing traffic lights at either side of it. Can the city comment on this planning decision?
Also, at the North bound I-15 on-ramp, shouldn't there be a yield sign for those entering the ramp from the East? There is a protected left turn for those entering the on-ramp from the West.
The purpose of the bridge was to move traffic up and over the railroad tracks so that vehicles did not have to stop and wait for trains. With Frontrunner coming, and with all the growth the west side of Kaysville is experiencing, the City Council felt that it was urgent to get a bridge built as soon as possible. The traffic signals on both ends of the bridge are necessary to help eliminate congestion and move traffic expeditiously. Due to all the businesses now located in the Business Park, 900 West was experiencing big congestion problems at certain times of the day and creating dangerous situations as drivers attempted to move out into oncoming traffic. The I-15 ramps are owned and maintained by UDOT. We do not know why they have not placed a yield sign on the north bound ramp.
